This is Tarka by Rikki Morley Saunders done in 2011 as a Bronze sculpture. I really like this sculpture for two reasons, firstly I really like how lifelike it looks, even the expression on the otters face as if it sees you looking at it. Secondly I like how she took the piece and put it into its natural habitat, meaning how she put it on rocks coming out of the water and it just makes it seem as though this piece was made to be sitting on this particular rock. I even like that the artist also put the fish in the otters mouth, it sort of gives it the lifelike aspect, like the otter living its life, in a pose that anyone would want to take a picture of.
