Bee Hive made of Plastic Bags by Pascale Marthine Tayou
This picture immediately caught my eye when I first saw it. I love that the artist Pascale Marthine Tayou used plastic bags to design this giant beehive shaped installation. Currently this display is set up at the Macro in Rome. This installation stands nearly 10 meters tall and is made of entirely plastic bags. The artist is very interested in modern nomadism and is fond of using every day objects to highlight the behavior of present day society. This display is part of a larger exhibit entitled Secret Garden. The exhibit offers a colorful critique of widespread plastic pollution. My favorite part about this display is the colors of all the plastic bags and how they make up the enormous bee hive.
