The Artist is Present is a film and an exhibition that Marina Abramovic created. The exhibition was at the MOMA for three months. Every day she sat at a table, and invited members of the audience to sit across from here. There was no communication between the two at all. Her objective is to achieve a luminous state of being and then transmit it to engage in what she calls " An energy dialogue: with the audience. This work of art is the longest that marina has ever attempted and she knew that it would be both physically and emotionally demanding. The work is simple but creates a powerful message and explores the relationship of the two sitting at the table as well as exploring the possibilities of the mind and the power of the human body.
