Caravaggio’s Medusa

I chose the piece Caravaggio’s Medusa by Vik Muniz.   It is based on the Medusa painting Caravaggio did between 1596 and 1598.  I really like this piece because it shows how art has evolved over time.  Both pieces convey the same idea but in very different ways.  It is an example of how much progress there has been in the art world between the renaissance and current contemporary art.
