This is a painting completed by Tim Bavington in 2014. Tim uses synthetic polymer paint on a canvas in order to translate audio into vertical stripes of color that directly correspond to each note. Bavington uses music from artists such as Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones for his paintings. I chose this painting because I loved the idea of turning musical notes into color. I love the vast array of colors that are used to make the painting vibrant and beautiful although it is as simple as vertical lines on a canvas.
