I've really love Richard Estes work. Everything he paints looks so unbelievably real. What makes it stand out even more, is that though there are many painters that can create photo-realism so well, Estes chooses such complicated, intricate, urban scenes. He has to have a lot of reflections with the scenes he paints because there is so much metal, glass, and lights that reflect off one another in the city.
