This is Marina Abramovic' The onion. I believe she was trying to use performance art to state her emotions about herself. She describes how she wasn't good enough for a man and then goes into stating her insecurities. I don't like this particular piece. I think Marina could have done something very different and imaginative. She ate an onion and then was spitting it back out. I don't know about you but that's definitely not how I deal with emotion. I just wish she would have done something more creative.
