Melting

Oil, on canvas
46 х 37.8 in. (116.84 x 96.01 cm.)
Signed, inscribed

Melting is a series of works done by Korean artist Jung Bo Yeon. They are oil paintings and are defined by their cropped compositions. The artist uses very vivid colors to make the artwork pop. I think that the technique is amazing and almost looks like a photograph. Yeon is an emerging Korean contemporary artist and her sugary paintings have taken Asia by storm, and she has already had two solo shows.
