Chuck Close is an American artist. He is mainly known for his massive portrait of human faces. His style of painting is known as photo-realism or superrealism, which is the mixture of painting and photography. In this painting, Close was able to capture every detailed by applying the right pressure and pigmentation. I chose this piainting because of the details and the realism in it. What makes this painting special is that Close finger painted it. No brushes or sponge, just his finger which is unbelievable beautiful.
