I chose this painting called 'Ballet' by italian artist Cristina Melotti as my inspiration for my midterm project. This painting will be sold at an auction full price in May and the full amount of the funds will be divided and donated to a charities in Africa (Dancing for the children) which strive to bring the art of dance to under-privelaged children and helps those in Africa with AIDS. I chose this piece for the community service aspect behind the art as well as for inspiration to portray my own love and feelings of ballet through various media.
